In 1937, he was elected MLA & joined cabinet in Central Province. He was called IRON MAN of MP. His Ego Clash with Maharani Scindia lead to fall of his Govt in 1967. He was a close advisor to PM Indira Gandhi. His Son Brijesh Mishra IFS was Close Advisor Of PM AB Vajpai.
