Great Friends SABRI BROTHERS
The Sabri Brothers are Qwallie Singers Group from Pakistan who perform Sufi qawwalies and are closely connected to the Chishti Order. They are referred to as Roving ambassadors of Pakistan. The Group consists of 4 Brothers Ghulam Farid Sabri Maqbool Ahmed Sabri Nehmood Sabri & one more brother, They were the first exponents of qawwali to the West, when they performed at New York's Carnegie Hall in 1975.[2] Sabri Brothers have given a number of soulful qawwali performances globally, and their stature in the Sub-continent is colossal. They started visiting India in early eighties as they were very keen to visit their ancestor village in Haryana JIND State. They came in contact with Dr Harish Bhalla who used to be a young Medico interested in Music and specially Qwallies when they were staying in Ranjit Hotel Near GB Pant Hospital and Dr Bhalla was the Dr on call for Ranjit Hotel and thus invited to meet and listen to Sabri Brothers . They became the lifelong Friend of Dr Bhalla and Family and whenever they visited India they were always with Dr Bhalla and Family .
